Silver Run Falls

Located just south of Cashiers, visitors will find the trail head to Silver Run Falls. (If you are coming from Cashiers and get to the recycling center, you passed it.) This trail is short and almost completely flat. Just at the falls, however, there is a tricky area with rocks and roots. If you aren’t in good physical shape, you might skip this one. Grandma might not be able to handle it. The falls empty into a shallow pool nice for swimming in summer. The falls gets its name because the sandy bottom is full of reflective mica, creating a silvery quality. This is a hidden gem.
